A good cousin to my father Reg Knapman. Peter's mother Lena was a tower of strength to my father when her sister (and his mother Madeline Jane nee Platt) died in 1926 when he was 9. Happy memories of day trips to Bognor Regis when a teenager in the 1960's.
Lots of wonderful memories, always made us laugh and full of great stories from a fascinating and varied life. Peter will be missed by all that came into contact with him.
Peter's "joie de vivre" will never be forgotten and his ability to always see the funny side of life was infectious. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered. We are thinking about the whole family at this time and sending you all lots of love. x
You were never less than great company and a joy to be around. We will all miss you (apart from the poor hockey players you used to umpire!). RIP a wonderful father and father-in-law. Steve
